Overview

A space for small-scale discovery

Tiny Tetley Studio was conceived as an immersive environment for children under five and the adults accompanying them. Its arrangement invited visitors to touch, climb, slide and spend time together through open-ended creative play.

The project connected early-years activity with contemporary art, offering an alternative to commercial play settings. Materials, sound and built structures worked together to encourage curiosity, shared attention and individual rhythms of exploration.

What the studio brought together

  • Play structures developed for movement, balance and discovery.
  • A bespoke sound environment that contributed to the atmosphere of the space.
  • Tactile objects and adaptable activities for children and their families.
  • Creative participation rooted in play rather than a fixed outcome.
